Cointreau Margarita Challenge Hong Kong 2023
In 2023 the Original Margarita will celebrate its 75th anniversary. For this third edition, contestants are asked to use at least 20mL of Cointreau l’Unique and salt as mandatory ingredients to create their own Original Margarita. An all-day competition and after-party at Darkside Rosewood, we witnessed 28 bartenders of different backgrounds creating margaritas of various colors and taste.
A one-on-one with each of the winners (Champion: Billy Choi, Quinary; 1st runner up: Chan Pak Yan, Hedonic Exit; 2nd runner up: Chris Chan, Rosewood), we asked them a few questions on their victory and success:
